Here's a quick process video on how I #inked the @Metallica shirt design.

These are only available via #Metallica 's shop! There were NO prints produced for this project. Just the shirt and ornament!

Here's the technical stuff.

I sketched the idea out on a sheet of paper. Scan it. Print it out in blue line on my epson pixma pro-10. Then I'll tighten the sketch up with an HB pencil. I like using the lead holders. Then I'll scan that, print it on bristol board, and ink that.

TOOLS:

Marvy LePen 0.8 & 0.05 pens.

Micron 03 pen.

Winsor Newton series 7 size 0 brush.

Dr Martens Black Star hi-carb ink.

An electric eraser for all of my "happy accidents".

A French curve and a circle template.

All done on Canson 100 lb bristol vellum paper

I got to collaborate with METALLICA…AGAIN!!!

Very stoked to be able to show it off now.

The irony was that I worked on a Christmas project during the HOTTEST days in July.

The project was very fun to do and everyone was easy to deal with. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
