Dirty Heads hit me up again this year to design TWO posters for their current tour with Sublime With Rome! I'm really stoked to work with a band like this because I get to use a different part of my brain that has bright colors! And I can draw everything that isn't a SKULL!
I tried another character from the DH playlist - #MEDUSA!
I've been wanting to add more color to my work and make it less evil. At least for clients who don't need all that evil! And I wanted to make this as colorful as possible to fit with the band's vibe. This past year I've been trying to understand #photoshop. So I used this poster and a few other projects to wrap my thick skull around the program.
This was fun to do because I just wanted to draw more snakes and more pinups! I tattoo, so they're a common subject matter that people ask for. I'd like to squish my #tattoostyle and #illustrationstyle together for a while and see what I can get away with.
